Guaemis

A population living along the border of Costa Rica and Panama, moving around depending on the crops. Without them there would not be enough people to harvest the coffee.

They have traditional villages in different reservations. And are known for their crafts and traditional dresses.

The "alberge Aguas Buenas", is developing an eco tourism lodge, and horse tours to the villages.

In a family ambiance, a possibility to get to know more about native culture.

Having a matriarchal society, the guaemis are really respectful of their women's, attending and owning the house.

They are skilled at weaving with really fine and naturally died natural fibers, and to turn them into wonderful bags. Also at sawing color full patchwork dresses.

They also use the bark of a tree, like vegetal leather, to paint and to saw.
